We specialise in teaching kobudo, which is a traditional martial art that originated in Okinawa, focusing on traditional weapons such as the katana, nunchaku, bo, sai, kama, tonfa, tekko, tanbo, and eku. We train in both kata (choreographed moves) and kumite (freestyle fighting) using approved training weapons in a safe and controlled environment. We also teach Shotokan Karate.

Our school’s knowledge has been passed down through the generations, and at our school, you'll find a welcoming community of students and instructors who are passionate about sharing the unique and powerful martial art of kobudo and dedicated to helping you reach your goals.

Whether you're a beginner looking to learn self-defence skills or improve your confidence, or an experienced practitioner looking to deepen your knowledge and understanding, we offer classes with a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all ages, abilities, and skill levels.

To the best of our knowledge, we're the only martial arts school in the UK that offers a full and complete kobudo-only syllabus, covering all traditional kobudo weapons, without the need to train in any other martial art first.

We hope you'll consider joining us on your martial arts journey. Get in touch today to find out more and sign up for a class. We look forward to helping you become the best martial artist you can be!

A huge congratulations to our students for their outstanding performance at the WUKF Scottish Open Championships.

Taking the top three places in the under 15s Kobudo category and a fantastic 3rd place in the over 16s, your dedication and hard work have made us truly proud! Keep striving for excellence and inspiring others in the kobudo world! We're so happy to have an official International Kobudo Champion among us! Well done!
